NOTES

The dark future where mankind devolved into "consumers" is based on concepts from the early Nathan Never.
The same decline is mentioned in Martin Mystère & Nathan Never n. 1: "Prigioniero del futuro", where the Men In Black claim to have finally triumphed.

This future, though, is clearly not the same of Nathan Never, as something is this timeline prevented at least two events from taking place.
The first event is the devastation of planet Earth caused by the Inner Space Project.
The second event is the development of space travel (which will then lead to various time travel paradoxes).
The hero of this GaL episode has the duty of removing that harmuful "something" from the timeline.

The "hereafter" of the Event Horizon was created in "La vita segreta di Diana Lombard" (Martin Mystère nn. 164-165).

Mister Jinx's saga crossed the Event Horizon one in "Mister Jinx ritorna!" (Almanacco del Mistero 2002).
The same comic led to the logical flaws that we have described in panel 3.
Mr. Jinx came back to fix these flaws in the still-unproduced GAL: "Precursore post-umano".
